CODE XA02 - KADAMAIAN & KAWA KAWA (DAYTRIP)
Kadamaian River which stretches from the foot of Mount Kinabalu to the village areas in Kota Belud offers a scenic view closer to the mountain and a thrilling white water rafting experience and will take you on a 10km ride, graded level 1-2 and is moderately adventurous and relaxing, great for beginners to the more experience rafters ; it is fun and safe , even for young children to the adventurous elders thus making it a suitable family adventure activity. The second leg of the tour will take you to Kawa Kawa where a rivercruise showcases Kota Belud’s own wetlands and you can discover one of Sabah’s icon, the proboscis monkeys.
ITINERARY (Mid Morning Departure)
1000hrs - Meet at hotel lobby and transfer directly to Xtreme Paddlers ending point located at Kampung Taginambur, Kota Belud (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes drive).
1130hrs - Upon arriving at ending point, guests will be served buffet lunch before proceeding to the starting point at Kampung Lingkubang for their white water rafting tour.
1240hrs: - Arrive at Xtreme Paddlers’ starting point at Kampung Lingkubang where guests are also treated to a fun fish feeding session at the Lingkubang Tagal area before gearing up and given a safety briefing. Guests are introduced to their Rafting captain of the day and briefed on safety techniques and procedure. May the White water rafting fun begin! Rafting will take place for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes depending on water level for a distance of 10 km.
1440hrs - Arrive at Xtreme Paddlers ending point at Kampung Taginambur. Freshen up, rest and enjoy the simple refreshments served before departing for the next leg of their combo tour.
1530hrs - Depart to Kawa Kawa for the evening river cruise. Kawa Kawa showcases Kota Belud’s own wetlands, where you can discover one of Sabah’s icon, the proboscis monkeys. The cruise begins along the Tempasuk river where you will be greeted by the majestic view of Mount Kinabalu at the background and before long the sight of bouncy crowds of proboscis monkeys will engross river cruisers hence do not forget to bring your binoculars.
1600hrs - Arrive at jetty. Safety, program briefing & light refreshment. Then you will proceed with the River cruise in search of Borneo’s pleasure – Proboscis Monkeys, other wildlife & sunset viewing.
1800hrs Buffet dinner will be served. Later on depart for another round of evening river cruise to spot fireflies.
1930hrs After the second cruise and you have returned, your return transfer will send you back to your respective hotel.
